In 1976 these former farmhouse buildings were converted into a residential facility for youth and community groups. The centre was operated by Rehoboth Association, a non-sectarian, non political, voluntary organisation. It closed to the public in 2003 but remains in the care of Rehoboth.
Larne Borough Council are currently updating the Carnfunnock Country Park Masterplan, with a view to identifying future development opportunities for this site.
