Please note the Swimming Pool Complex is being extensively renovated and at present closed to the public.  Both pools are expected to reopen in January 2011.  We apologise for any inconvenience.

Facilities
Larne Leisure Centre is located on the town’s beautiful seaside promenade and enjoys magnificent views of the Antrim coastline. The centre itself comprises of swimming pools, squash courts, an indoor sports hall, purpose built Mc Neill theatre, Health Suite, Weights and Fitness rooms.

Open to members and non-members alike, the service caters for a wide range of leisure needs. Adjacent to the main building there is a comprehensive range of car parking facilities including Disabled and Family parking bays. The Centre offers a comprehensive range of facilities and activities catering for all types of users, so whether you want to get fit or enjoy a fun day out, Larne Leisure Centre is an ideal venue.

There is a varied range of activities on offer, including light exercise classes, swimming lessons for all the family, aerobics, martial arts (including Karate, Tai bo and Ju-Jitsu), pilates, gymnastics, netball, football and much more. 
 
Disabled Access
The building has easy access for disabled users. There are six dedicated car parking spaces for disabled badge holders, easy access to all areas via ramps, automatic doors and lift. There are disabled changing facilities and toilets throughout and also disabled access to the pool and hoist available.

Swimming Pools
The 25 metres x 6 lane is home to a wide range of aquatic activities including length swimming, competitive training, galas/championships, swimming lessons, canoeing, sub aqua, lifesaving and public swimming. 
Adult swimming sessions are programmed Monday, Wednesday & Friday 7.30am to 10.00am and 12.00 noon to 1.30pm.  Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am to 10.00am and 12.00 noon to 1.30pm. 
The minor pool is available for families and learner swimmers.
 
The opening of the new Village changing facilities along with the Health Suite marks a new level of leisure provision at Larne Leisure Centre. The new changing area is designed to be flexible in accommodating individuals, special needs groups, schools, clubs, families and youth groups. A beautiful glass walled communal shower area opens onto the poolside for bathers to shower after their swim whilst we still offer private showering facilities.

Adult users can take time out from the bustle of daily modern life and relax to pamper themselves in the privacy of the luxury Health Suite featuring a spa pool, sauna, steam room relaxation area and hot/cold showering. Those visiting the Centre will clearly see that Larne Leisure Centre continues to be committed to the provision of quality leisure facilities and services.
 

Main Sports Hall
Marked for 6 badminton courts, caters for volleyball, netball, gymnastics, martial arts, Birthday Parties, basketball, indoor tennis, five-a-side football, hockey, indoor bowls and cricket. It can also host major functions, conferences, exhibitions and other special events. 

Fitness Suite
This area offers a range of Cardio-vascular equipment to give users a 'full body' workout, including recumbent/upright cycles, treadmills, steppers, rowers and cross-trainer. For Health and Safety reasons, all users of the Fitness suite must be over 16 years of age and have completed an induction in the safe use of equipment.  Staff are available to instruct clients in the correct operation of all equipment.

Weights Room
This area combines a training area fully equipped with resistance machines and a large fully matted area equipped with three Olympic weight lifting bars, exercise apparatus and free weights. All persons using this area must be for reasons of Health and Safety 16 years or over. Staff are available to instruct clients in the operation of all equipment. 

Mc Neill Theatre

The Mc Neill Theatre is a multi-purpose hall and excellent conferencing facility located within Larne Leisure Centre, designed to cater for indoor sports (aerobics, indoor bowls, table tennis, light exercise, indoor games) as well as theatre events (Ballet, Musicals, Plays, Variety Shows, Concerts etc.). Amongst many the theatre plays host to the annual Larne Drama Festival (please see the LBC Arts Program for up coming events).

The venue has automatic theatre seating which accommodates 270 persons and looks onto the stage area fully equipped with lighting for any performance. Lighting and sound is operated from a separate control room overlooking the theatre in the balcony area. There is easy access to the stage area for theatre groups unloading sets/equipment and two comfortable dressing rooms are located backstage.

The sound system quality is superb and a Deaf Loop system has been installed making it a first rate venue for conferences and public meetings/events.
