Living History Tour of Larne

Tour starts at Larne Museum & Arts Centre

11.00am

Come and celebrate European Heritage Open Day as Larne Museum & Arts Centre brings characters from Larne’s history to life.  Members of Larne & District Historical Society will lead people through the town where they are sure to meet and greet characters from Larne’s historic past.  Suitable for families (children over 5) and dressing up and participation is encouraged.  Cost is £2 per head and this will include a light lunch back at the museum.  Contact Larne Museum & Arts Centre on 028 2827 9482 or email museum@larne.gov.uk for more information.  

 

Larne Alive Georgian Murder Mystery

Larne Alive will be holding a Georgian Murder Mystery evening at Larne Museum & Arts Centre.  The Murder Mystery will be performed by the Armagh Living History group.  This thrilling night of detective work starts at 7.00pm.  Tickets cost £20 and include a two course meal.  Tickets are available from Larne Tourist Information Centre and Larne Museum & Arts Centre.  Tickets can be booked by contacting 028 2826 0088 or 028 2827 9482.  SOLD OUT

Happy Medium-May McFetridge

On the anniversary of her sister’s death, Lizzie invites a spiritual medium into her home to conduct a seance. She hopes she can bring her sister back from “the other side” and into her sitting room as proof of life after death. The results are unexpectedly shocking and at the same time hilarious. A Happy Medium has toured Scotland and England to critical acclaim. May McFettridge as Lizzie will have you crying tears of laughter.

Leon and the place Between Word

Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 September

McNeill Theatre, Larne

When little Leon goes to see a magic show with his brothers and sisters, he is the only one who truly believes in the magic.  Magician Abdul Kazam appears on the stage to entertain the audience with his spellbinding illusions and fascinating conjuring tricks.  There is so much magic in the air that Leon can even smell it!  So when Abdul asks for someone to come forward and join in the magic, Leon knows that it must be him.  He bravely steps onto the stage, through the door and into the place between.  It is a place full of mystery and illusion!  But when his adventure is over will Leon be able to find his way back to where his brothers and sisters are waiting for him?  This is a delightful tale all about magic and the power of believing.  The show features amazing special effects, a live band, magic, circus, dance, illusion and lots more!  Suitable for ages 4+.

Spooky Story Night at Larne Museum and Arts Centre

Monday 25th October 2010

7.30pm

Billy Teare and Kathleen O'Sullivan will guide the audience through a variety of scary stories and songs including some local folklore. The event will include a light supper. Suitable for ages 16+
