Bulky Collections
Council will remove, free of charge, 3 bulky household items provided they are suitable for ease of collection. Items included in this service are those that you would take with you if you were moving house but that do not fit in a car. The following list shows items included in this free service:
- Washing machine
- Tumble dryer
- Cooker
- Microwave
- Fridge/ freezer
- Bed frame
- Mattress
- Chest of drawers
- Dressing table
- Wardrobe
- Suite of furniture
- Sideboard
- Coffee table
- Garden furniture
This list is not exhaustive.
Certain items that are not included in this list may be collected for a small charge. For example, bathroom suites, radiators, garage door. Please enquire at the depot or by telephoning Technical Services on 028 2826 2307.
A form requesting a bulky collection, can be downloaded from this site. It must be filled in, signed and returned to Technical Services. Once we receive the completed form we will aim to lift the requested items within 7-10 working days.
Collection will normally be made between 7.30am and 4pm. If a householder is not normally in during these hours, we request that the items listed on the form are left outside and are accessible to the crew.
