Alternatively, charter a boat and try your skill in fishing for cod, pollock, conger, mackerel and herring in the waters of the North or South Klondike, Maidens or Hunter Rocks.

Glenarm River offers pre-bookable rods for brown trout, salmon and sea trout and Inver River offers impressive runs of sea trout and the chance of an occasional salmon. Guides and ghillies on both rivers can be arranged with prior notice and permits are always required.
Killylane Reservoir and Raloo Trout Fishery both contain a plentiful stock of wild brown trout and maintain good fishing throughout the season.
