Dixon Hall, Drains Bay
Dixon Hall is not a council facility - it is a community owned building which was built in 1965 by the late Lady Dixon.
It is located within Drains Bay, beside a children's playground and within walking distance of Carnfunnock Country Park.
It is available for hire and offers a perfect venue for children’s parties, BBQs and meetings. The hall offers a totally enclosed facility which can be hired out day or night, although during the winter months the hall is unavailable on Monday and Thursday evenings.
Facilities available include:
• Badminton court;
• Stage facility;
• Meeting rooms;
• Full kitchen;
• Toilet facilities;
• Disabled facilities (toilets and access);
• Electric heating;
• Approx 100 chairs and 6 tables; and
• Private car park alongside adjacent Drains Bay public car park.
Although the hall does not have a purpose built BBQ, hirers can bring their own BBQ or can hire mobile BBQ's from Carnfunnock Country Park.
Hire of the hall costs a minimum of £25.00, depending on facilities used and length of session.
