A Voucher Book is now available which offers special discounts and offers in local shops, places to eat and other leisure facilities and services.  All the participating businesses wish to welcome you to Larne, its nearby villages and surrounding coast and countryside and hope that you enjoy your visit to the area.

 

The Voucher Book is available from hotels, guesthouses and other accommodation providers throughout the Borough as well as from the Tourist Information Centre in Narrow Gauge Road, Larne and vouchers are valid until 31 October 2009.

A number of information panels have been placed at key points about Larne Town – these contain maps, useful telephone contact numbers, places to see and historical information about local interesting places.  The panels are placed at the Tourist Information Centre, Broadway in the Town Centre, High Street under the Harbour Highway beside the Inver River walk and at the car park on Chaine Memorial Road adjacent to Larne Leisure Centre.

 

Visitors arriving in Larne by sea through the Port of Larne are now welcomed by a new feature in the landscape.  This “Steel Stern” sculpture has been placed on the Harbour Roundabout in recognition of the important links between the development of the port and the town of Larne.  It represents the stern of a ship and provides a memorable feature that is unique to Larne and welcomes everyone on their arrival in Northern Ireland.
