'Go For It' Programme
The Enterprise Development Programme (commonly branded ‘Go For It’) is funded by Invest N.I. and delivered locally by Larne Enterprise Development Company Ltd (LEDCOM) free of charge to all participants.
There are three different aspects to EDP:
1. Pre-Start is for those interested in self employment but who do not necessarily have a clear business idea at this stage. A seminar is offered which will explain what it means for you to run your own business.
2. Start Up For anyone with a definite business idea who wishes to progress to self employment, there is the opportunity to discuss your idea with a business advisor and to attend up to six seminars on start up topics such as business planning, taxation and bookkeeping, market research and financial planning. An advisor will complete a business plan with you and you can also attend business clinics. One to one mentoring is offered to businesses with potential to reach VAT turnover in the first year of training.
3. Growth If you are already in business and your turnover is at least £68,000 you can attend business workshops on growth related subjects such as marketing, finance and leadership. If your business has potential to export, you may qualify for one to one mentoring and eventual Invest Northern Ireland support.
