Have you got the “Wow Factor”?

Larne Alive is launching its first-ever talent search, and is looking for people who can sing or dance, or who have another interesting talent to compete for Larne’s WOW Factor Title 2010. This new event has developed from the very successful “Battle of the Band” competition held each year in August.
Larne Alive is looking for vocal, instrumental, dance or novelty acts to take part in this exciting competition, to be held in McNeill Theatre, Larne on Saturday, 14th August 2010.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the brilliant talent found here in Larne and the surrounding areas,” said Rachael McMaster, Arts and Events Coordinator for Larne Borough Council. “The competition is open to everyone 15 and older.”
“The winner of the WOW factor will receive an amazing £200 in prize money, along with the opportunity to perform at Larne’s Christmas Switch-on 26th November.”
Closing date for entries is Friday 6th August. Auditions will take place on Tuesday 10th August. Entry forms and rules of the competition can be downloaded from the link below or from Larne Tourist Information Centre, Larne Museum and Arts Centre and Larne Leisure Centre. Rachael encourages everyone to come along to this new event: “This is sure to be enjoyable, and the public is invited to attend the WOW Factor competition at the McNeill Theatre on Saturday 14th August to see all that Larne has to offer! Doors open at 7.15pm and tickets are only £4.”
